Ventec Secures Exclusive Large-Scale PCB Deal, Expands High-Margin Defense and Aerospace Business

Taiwan-based CCL manufacturer Ventec International Group (6672.TW) reported June 2025 revenue of NT$340 million, down 13% from the previous month. For the first half of the year, cumulative revenue totaled NT$2.13 billion, a 3% year-on-year decline. However, second-quarter revenue rose 8% compared to Q1.

The company attributed the June slowdown to uncertainty in U.S. trade and economic policy and ongoing geopolitical tensions. Despite this, Ventec's defense and aerospace business saw robust growth, with related revenue surpassing 15% of total sales for the first time.

Beyond PI-based materials, Ventec's high-performance laminates have made inroads into key applications such as radar and thermal systems across the U.S., Germany, France, Israel, and Turkey. These materials are being deployed in advanced systems including helicopter radar, military truck cooling modules, and air defense systems. The gross margin from these materials is reportedly 10 times higher than that of standard products, significantly enhancing the company's overall product mix.

A major exclusive PCB project in Lithuania, secured earlier this year, is set to begin trial production in August and expected to yield substantial orders. Ventec is also expanding its portfolio of small-volume, high-value-add products—supplying items such as blood glucose testing devices to Europe's largest pharmaceutical company, AR glasses, robotics, drone power amplifiers, and polyimide substrates. These products serve a range of high-tech applications in defense, aerospace, and healthcare, with orders showing steady growth.

Looking ahead, Ventec is developing next-generation RCC/RCF materials using a pure adhesive coating process that replaces traditional glass fabric. Offering advantages such as variable sizing and simplified structure, these materials are positioned for use in embedded semiconductors, copper heat dissipation modules, robotic radar systems, and AI hardware—potentially powering the company's next phase of growth.
