On September 26, local time in Thailand, Suntak Technology (002815.SZ) held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new manufacturing facility in the Rojana Industrial Park in Prachinburi, Thailand—marking a major step forward in the company’s globalization strategy.
Company executives, representatives from China State Construction Engineering, local government officials, and park leaders attended the event. Guests took part in a traditional groundbreaking ritual, symbolizing cooperation and future growth.
Suntak said the Thailand plant will play a critical role in expanding its high-end PCB production capacity. The facility, covering about 168 mu (112,000 square meters), will be built in two phases with an initial investment of around RMB 1.2 billion. Phase I is expected to complete equipment installation and commissioning by the end of 2026, with production capabilities in advanced multilayer boards and high-density interconnect (HDI) PCBs.
The project follows Suntak’s earlier announcement in March 2024 of plans to invest up to RMB 5 billion overseas in Southeast Asia, later raised to RMB 10 billion, through acquisitions, new plants, or joint ventures. In August 2024, the company registered Suntak Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd. with a capital of THB 300 million and secured land for the new site.
Suntak emphasized that the Thailand plant will not only extend its production footprint but also enhance global supply chain resilience and strengthen customer support in international markets. The facility is set to work in synergy with Suntak’s eight manufacturing bases in China, supporting the company’s vision of becoming a world-leading PCB manufacturer.
