Austrian PCB and substrate manufacturer AT&S (VIE: ATS) announced on October 23, 2025, in Leoben, Austria, that its advanced circuit board technology has been adopted in Sony's latest camera, continuing a two-decade partnership between the two innovation leaders.
The Sony Group Corporation, one of the world's most influential electronics companies, has long been known for pioneering products that have shaped the consumer electronics industry—from the transistor radio and Walkman to CD players, Blu-ray, PlayStation, Bravia smart TVs, and digital imaging systems. With around 110,000 employees and annual revenue of USD 85 billion, Sony continues to invest heavily in AI, robotics, and immersive media, redefining entertainment experiences with innovations such as the Aibo robot dog and 3D audio headphones.

AT&S, headquartered in Leoben, Austria, has supplied high-end printed circuit boards (PCBs) and interconnect solutions to Sony for 20 years. The partnership was recently celebrated at Sony's headquarters in Shinagawa, Tokyo, as part of the 20th anniversary of AT&S Japan.
"It's incredible to be part of Sony's success story," said Andreas Wippel, Vice President of Sales at AT&S. "These two decades have been defined by innovation, trust, and outstanding products that have changed the market."
While specific products remain confidential, AT&S confirmed that many of Sony's latest devices integrate Austrian-made high-end PCBs that optimize energy flow and digital signal processing—key elements behind Sony's renowned sound and imaging performance. Industry sources suggest that Sony's newest camera is among the products featuring AT&S technology.
