PCBAA Wraps Up Annual Meeting with Strong Industry Momentum and Congressional Support

The Printed Circuit Board Association of America (PCBAA) announced on June 18 that its 2025 Annual Meeting, held June in Washington, D.C., concluded with record attendance and significant progress on key policy initiatives.

The event brought together members of Congress, officials from the Department of Commerce, defense and OEM executives, and PCBAA's advocacy and communications teams. As part of its outreach, PCBAA representatives visited more than two dozen Congressional offices and secured new co-sponsors for the Protecting Circuit Boards and Substrates Act (PCBs Act), which aims to bolster domestic production of PCBs and substrates.

A highlight of the meeting was the recognition of Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (IL-8) as a “PCB Industry Champion” for his leadership in promoting American manufacturing and his role as lead cosponsor of the PCBs Act.

The event also included the presentation of the 2025 Outstanding Contributor Award to a key industry advocate. Accepting the award, a Microboard representative stated:

“I am honored and humbled to accept the 2025 Outstanding Contributor Award from the Printed Circuit Board Association of America (PCBAA)! At Microboard, we are deeply committed to advancing U.S.-based PCB manufacturing and strengthening the domestic supply chain for mission-critical technologies and USA manufacturing leadership. We are proud to stand with the PCBAA in raising awareness about the strategic importance of the electronic manufacturing services industry that Microboard has excelled in for over 40 years!”

PCBAA expressed its gratitude to the sponsors who made the event possible, including Amphenol, American Defense International, EMX, Isola Group, JPS Composite Materials, Libra Industries, MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, Microboard, Sanmina, Schmoll America, TTM Technologies, Gene Weiner, Denny Fritz, and Dan Feinberg.

The annual meeting continues to serve as a vital forum for uniting industry leaders and policymakers to strengthen the U.S. electronics ecosystem and ensure long-term competitiveness in critical technologies.
