Orion was established in 1913 and has decades of experience in electronics manufacturing.
Besides manufacturing a variety of consumer electronics products like radios, televisions, hi-fi systems, Orion also designed, produced, installed and maintained sophisticated microwave telecommunications equipment that was sold to many countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America.
The Thakral Group (established in 1905; has a presence in over 30 countries) took over Orion in 1997. The Group contributed significant financial, managerial and technical resources that helped Orion become a strong company with a well-diversified portfolio.
The manufacturing facility is conveniently located in Budapest, about 20 minutes from the international airport and the city centre. Orion also has a modern logistics centre about 16 Km from Budapest near to the main highway junction.
