Taiwan-based Nan Ya PCB (8046.TW), a leading supplier of ABF and BT substrates, reported August revenue of NT$3.807 billion (approx. USD 124 million or CNY 886 million ), up 5.15% from the previous month and 22.91% year-on-year, marking its highest level in 29 months. Cumulative revenue for the first eight months of 2025 reached NT$25.469 billion, an 18.77% increase from a year earlier.
The company attributed the performance to robust demand for both ABF and BT substrates. A shortage of raw materials, including T-glass, has driven BT substrate prices higher, and analysts expect another round of BT price hikes in the fourth quarter. ABF substrates may also see upward pricing momentum. Combined with seasonal strength in the third quarter, these factors are expected to further boost revenue.
Analysts noted that ABF substrates continue to benefit from growing demand for high-speed computing, particularly in 800G networking and AI applications. For Nan Ya, ABF revenue contribution is projected to reach 55% this year, with pricing gains supporting growth in the second half. Third-quarter revenue is forecast to exceed NT$10 billion, with further upside in Q4 as U.S. ASIC projects ramp up, potentially lifting full-year sales above last year's level.
Separately, IC testing and substrate supplier Chunghwa Precision Test reported August revenue of NT$414 million, up 0.9% sequentially and 36.99% year-on-year, its highest monthly level this year. Cumulative January–August revenue rose 59.75% to NT$3.192 billion, driven by orders for smartphone application processors, AI, and high-performance computing (HPC) chips.
The company highlighted its AI-driven iSD smart design platform, now deployed in active projects, which shortens design cycles and accelerates customer product launches. Chunghwa Precision Test said it remains cautiously optimistic about third-quarter growth, with strong HPC chip testing demand expected to support solid performance in the second half.
