ISU Petasys Selected for South Korea's 'AI Factory Alliance' to Develop Autonomous High-Layer PCB Manufacturing Technology

South Korea's ISU Petasys (KRX: 007660), a leading manufacturer of high-layer printed circuit boards (PCBs), announced on October 1st that it has been selected to participate in the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's "2025 AI Factory Alliance" initiative. As part of this project, the company will focus on developing autonomous manufacturing technology for AI accelerator PCBs.

The project aims to establish an autonomous operation system for AI accelerator PCB manufacturing processes and to develop industrial AI and autonomous process equipment. The five-year initiative will target a 20% improvement in production efficiency, with efforts focused on both digital transformation (DX) and automation (AX) platforms, alongside the automation of production facilities.

This joint venture will bring together key domestic semiconductor, AI, and manufacturing innovation companies and research institutions, including the Korea Textile Machinery Convergence Research Institute, Ulala Lab, Raon People, Ilju GNS, and STC Engineering. The project will also receive support from Daegu City.

The Ministry of Industry expanded its previous "AI Autonomous Manufacturing Alliance" into the "AI Factory Alliance" this year, with 153 companies and research institutions participating. By 2027, the initiative plans to develop AI foundation models applicable across manufacturing industries and provide some of these models as open-source resources.
