In May 2025, South Korean semiconductor substrate and lead frame manufacturer Haesung DS (KOSDAQ: 195870) held a completion ceremony for its "N Project" expansion at its headquarters in the Changwon National Industrial Complex. The project includes a six-story production facility (plus one underground floor), an office building, and a wastewater treatment plant, with construction and equipment installation spanning approximately two years.

The expanded facility will support the production of package substrates and lead frames, strengthening the company's capacity in semiconductor packaging materials. Notably, the site incorporates the latest reel-to-reel (R2R) semiconductor substrate production line. As of March 2024, the main production building has received full operational approval, with temporary use permits granted for the office and wastewater treatment facilities.

Further affirming its leadership, Haesung DS announced on June 11, 2025, that it had received Texas Instruments' 2024 Supplier Excellence Award—its second time being recognized after first winning in 2022. The award, presented to only 19 companies out of over 10,000 global suppliers, highlights Haesung DS's strong track record in quality, supply chain reliability, and technical collaboration.

The company's continued investment in production capabilities and recognition by major global customers underline its growing role in the semiconductor value chain.
