Thailand’s Board of Investment (BOI) approved several new investment projects during its May 6, 2025 meeting, including a printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing facility backed by China-based AKM Meadville.
AKM Meadville Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was established in October 2023 with a registered capital of THB 375 million. The facility is located in Rojana Industrial Park in Ayutthaya Province, covering approximately 109,000 square meters, with a planned total building area of around 158,000 square meters.
Focusing on the automotive electronics sector, the project aims to strengthen the company’s competitiveness in the high-end HDI and flexible PCB (FPC) markets for vehicles. Construction of Phase 1 began on January 21, 2025, covering 78,000 square meters. The first phase includes a production plant, an integrated office building, a wastewater treatment station, and a chemical storage facility.
