AT&S Fuels Future Innovation with 'Young Wilds' Program

On August 27, AT&S (VIE: ATS) has launched the second round of its "Young Wilds" program, designed to accelerate the growth of young professionals through mentoring, tailored training, and international collaboration.

Building on its successful debut in FY 2024/25, the one-year program combines professional development with personal growth. Participants work with mentors to refine skills in project management, innovation, and time management, while also focusing on communication, career planning, and personal branding.

"The program is a living example of a strong development culture – I’ve never seen anything like this before joining AT&S," said AT&S President & CEO Michael Mertin.

The initiative brings together talents from all AT&S sites worldwide, combining virtual team-building, international project groups, and cross-departmental collaboration. This global setup provides participants with exposure to business processes across regions and direct engagement with senior leadership.

Once again, the Executive Board personally selected the twelve participants. "These young talents are ready to take responsibility and play an active role in shaping our future," Mertin added. Program Manager Sonja Polt noted the strong applicant pool: "Applying takes courage, self-reflection, and a real drive to grow. Last year's participants were particularly impressed by the time and attention they received from senior leadership."

AT&S positions "Young Wilds" as more than a development initiative – a launch pad for talent, innovation, and international networking that strengthens the company's long-term competitiveness.
