On September 8, Ansan Mayor Lee Min-geun visited Daeduck Electronics (KOSPI:353200), a global leader in semiconductor substrates and printed circuit boards (PCBs), to hear the company's concerns and discuss ways to improve its business environment.
The visit followed recent trips to other key local firms, including Entegris Korea on August 27 and stainless steel processor T-Flex on September 3, as part of the city's ongoing effort to engage directly with major industries.
Headquartered in the Banwol National Industrial Complex (Ansan Smart Hub), Daeduck is one of South Korea's most prominent PCB companies. In 2022, the city acted quickly on the company's requests by approving wastewater pipeline expansion and permitting additional connecting corridors between buildings to support smoother operations.
During the latest meeting, Daeduck executives expressed appreciation for the city's proactive administrative measures, while Mayor Lee reviewed the firm's current business conditions, challenges, and future investment plans. He also toured the production site and met with employees to observe operations firsthand.
The city pledged to continue regular visits to major companies, integrate feedback into policy decisions, and strengthen support measures to enhance the business climate, drive industrial growth, and revitalize the local economy.
"Daeduck Electronics is a world-class company representing Ansan, making significant contributions to the local economy and job creation," said Mayor Lee. "We will keep visiting worksites to communicate with businesses and build Ansan into a truly business-friendly city through regulatory easing and infrastructure improvements."
