Andhra Pradesh Approves Rs 856 Crore Incentive for India's Largest PCB Plant

The Andhra Pradesh government has approved a Rs 856 crore (approx. $97 million or RMB 692 million) incentive package to support the establishment of India's largest printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing facility by electronics maker Syrma SGS.

The state cabinet, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, cleared the package, which includes 12.56 acres of land at a 75% subsidized rate in the Naidupeta industrial area, near Chennai.

Syrma SGS will invest Rs 1,595 crore in the project, developed in partnership with Korea's Shinhyup Electronics on a 51:49 equity basis. Scheduled for commissioning in October 2026, the facility is expected to add Rs 6,200 crore (approx. $701 million RMB 5 billion) to Syrma SGS's topline in FY2027.

The plant will cover single-layer and multi-layer PCB manufacturing, HDI and flexible PCBs, copper clad laminates (CCLs), and electronics manufacturing services. PCBs and CCLs produced will serve high-growth sectors including smart metering, healthcare, automotive, and electric mobility.

Shenzhen East Space Light Technology Co., Ltd

With turnover of Rs 3,836 crore in FY2025 and a market cap of nearly $2 billion, Syrma SGS operates 14 manufacturing sites with over 9,000 employees.

Industry analysts note that demand for advanced PCBs in India is being driven by rapid electrification of vehicles and the adoption of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). Features such as smart dashboards, battery management systems, infotainment, and electric vehicles are creating a strong market for high-quality, reliable PCBs.
