A Milestone for the PCB Industry: Junze Environmental Technology Achieves First International Advanced Certification

Shenzhen-based innovative environmental technology provider Shenzhen Junze Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. Junze's self-developed project, Development and Application of a Short-Process, High-Efficiency Recycling Technology for Copper-Based PCB Waste, successfully passed a scientific and technological evaluation organized by the authoritative China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT). The project was officially recognized as reaching an internationally advanced level, marking a breakthrough for China's PCB resource recycling technologies—from following global trends to setting them.

The PCB industry has long faced challenges in copper-based waste recycling, including complex processes, low recovery rates, high energy consumption, high-salinity wastewater, and inconsistent product quality. Junze Technology addressed these pain points through years of R&D, establishing a comprehensive proprietary technology system that significantly improves efficiency, sustainability, and cost performance.

Key innovations include:

 ● Directed copper-ion conversion technology, enabling direct conversion of etching waste liquids and copper-containing scrap into electroplating-grade copper oxide or copper sulfate, with a copper recovery rate of ≥95% and product purity of ≥99.5%, while reducing process length by over 30%.

 ● JZSAC zero-discharge technology, combining ion-chelating resins and bipolar membrane systems to recycle high-salinity wastewater into reusable acid and alkali chemicals, increasing utilization efficiency by 80%.

 ● Insoluble anode electroplating technology, using recycled copper oxide as the copper source to achieve plating thickness variation of ≤4 μm, a yield rate of 98.5%, and productivity gains of 20–40%, meeting the demands of high-end PCB manufacturing.

Compared with conventional processes, Junze's solution reduces energy consumption to 270 kWh per ton of copper, cuts impurities to industry-leading levels, and fully meets the stringent requirements of advanced applications such as AI server and high-performance PCBs.

Authoritative Recognition with Industry Impact

The evaluation was conducted under strict national standards by CAICT, a research institution directly affiliated with China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. A panel of seven top experts assessed the project across multiple dimensions, including innovation, technical advancement, feasibility, and industrial value, awarding it a high score of 90.07.

As a nationally recognized evaluation, the certification is officially recorded in China's technology achievement database and serves as a strong endorsement for green manufacturing initiatives, industrial funding applications, and "specialized and innovative" enterprise recognition.

Already deployed at scale, Junze Technology's solution is now serving multiple leading PCB manufacturers, enabling 100% in-house recycling of copper-based waste, reducing hazardous waste treatment costs by 40%, and lowering electroplating bath maintenance costs by 30%. The technology establishes a closed-loop model spanning waste recycling, process optimization, cost reduction, and environmental compliance.
