SK hynix on HBM memory: we've sold out for 2024

The industry's leading firm in HBM supply, SK hynix, has officially verified its "record-breaking" HBM sales in the previous months, claiming that markets are set for a rebound.

SK hynix Reiterates Its Approach For The HBM Segment, Claiming That They Are Set To Dominate The Upcoming Markets

We all are pretty well aware of the fact that the AI segment has taken the HBM industry by storm, where we have witnessed a tremendous rise in demand from the markets, mainly since HBM is used as a crucial component in the development of highly demanding AI accelerators. Firms such as SK hynix and Samsung have decided to capitalize the most on this colossal demand by upscaling existing facilities and bringing significant improvements to both current and next-generation processes. It seems like they have started to reap the benefits.

SK hynix's Vice President Kim Ki-tae shared the firm's approach with the HBM markets in a blog post, claiming that his vision led to the success the company is experiencing in modern times. Moreover, he has also reiterated what to expect with SK hynix moving into 2024, and by the looks of it, exciting times are ahead of us.

Moreover, the firm has revealed the outrageous demand from the HBM sector, claiming that this year's supply is already sold out, and SK hynix is already gearing up for a dominant FY 2025. This isn't shocking at all, because AI is still witnessing a huge boom moving into 2024, and with firms such as NVIDIA and AMD preparing for next-gen solutions, it is evident that the demand for HBM will be huge as well. We could see further shocking revenue figures with HBM3e and HBM4 products hitting the markets ahead.

Interesting times are ahead of us for the HBM segment and we can't wait to see what firms like SK hynix bring on board, but one thing is certain, the competition is undoubtedly going to ramp up.
